Black Dog Behaviour and Training is run by Kay Webb, a fully qualified, experienced and insured animal behaviourist, based in Witney, West Oxfordshire. I use only force free methods of training and behaviour management to help you and your dog understand each other better and therefore build a strong bond between you .
I work with you and your dog to tailor a customised plan for your specific needs and create a behaviour or training plan just for you. I can work with you both on a range of issues, such as reactivity, separation related behaviours, anxiety and settling your new dog into your home.
I offer support to dogs and their humans in Oxfordshire, and can also offer online consultations.
I run training classes and one-to-one training either at your home or another suitable location. I also offer an Adoption Support Package for those who are looking to bring a rescue dog into their home and a New Puppy Support Package for those looking to purchase a puppy from a breeder.

Black Dog Behaviour and Training is named after my first dog, Cassie, who was a black Labrador and she is the reason I started my learning journey in canine training and behaviour. Since living with Cassie I have lived and worked with many different breeds of dogs, including bull breeds and banned breeds. I have been training dogs for 17 years and since starting out on my training journey with Cassie, I have achieved the following qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma in Foundations of Canine Behaviour Management
- Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour
- Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour
I am a Provisional Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors*. I have also undertaken a large number of continuing professional development courses, including completing a 4 day Practical Instructor Course with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers.
I am also a Puppy School Tutor in the Oxfordshire area and a volunteer Dog Carer with the Blue Cross in Burford.
*Provisional APBC members have demonstrated that they have the appropriate level of Knowledge and Understanding for the professional role of Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB). They are now gaining the practical experience necessary to be assessed as a CAB and therefore become a full member of the APBC. The APBC supports its provisional members undertaking behaviour consultations.
